Episode 06

Milton Friedman and Anna Jacobson Schwartz (1980) observe that World War II ushered in a period of inflation comparable to the inflationary episodes that occurred during the Civil War and World War I.[1] Prices also surged after World War II ended. In 1947, inflation jumped to over 20 percent, as shown in Figure 1. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the rapid post-war inflationary episode was caused by the elimination of price controls, supply shortages, and pent-up demand.

This inflationary episode was caused by a booming economy, which increased prices. From 1965 through 1969, for instance, real quarterly GDP growth averaged 4.8 percent at an annual rate. Inflation fell after President Nixon instituted a freeze on wages and prices.

This fifth inflationary episode occurred when Iraq invaded Kuwait, leading to the first Gulf War. The price of crude oil increased significantly due to heightened uncertainty, leading to a short bout of high inflation.

The period right after World War II potentially provides the most relevant case study, as the rapid post-war inflationary episode was caused by the elimination of price controls, supply shortages, and pent-up demand. Figure 2 shows the change in prices in the five years following World War II.

According to Benjamin Caplan (1956), the inflationary episode after World War II ended after two years as domestic and foreign supply chains normalized and consumer demand began to level off. (Caplan also observes that private fixed investment started to decline, which contributed to the decline in prices and caused the economy to fall into a mild recession, with real GDP declining by 1.5 percent).

No single historical episode is a perfect template for current events. But when looking for historical parallels, it is useful to concentrate on inflationary episodes that contained supply chain disruptions and a spike in consumer demand after a period of temporary suppression. The inflationary period after World War II is likely a better comparison for the current economic situation than the 1970s and suggests that inflation could quickly decline once supply chains are fully online and pent-up demand levels off. The CEA will continue to carefully gauge the trajectory of inflation.

Rhaenyra Targaryen was getting married to Ser Laenor Velaryon, last we saw her. In this episode, the first thing we see is Rhaenyra giving birth. It's a boy! Except it's not the Rhaenyra we know. Now 10 years older, the princess is played by Emma D'Arcy instead of Milly Alcock.

The family is joined by grandpa Viserys, who is somehow still alive. He collapsed at the end of episode 5, over 10 years ago. He looks older and more sickly -- much more sickly -- but he's still kicking.

Turns out young Joffrey is actually the happy couple's third child. Well, Rhaenyra's third child: They're actually fathered by Ser Harwin Strong. Harwin is the son of the Hand of the King, Lyonel Strong, and was the guy who rescued Rhaenyra in the wedding brawl during episode 5. Rhaenyra and Laenor have apparently struck a bargain: As long as he pretends to be father of her children, Laenor is free to love as he pleases.

In episode 5, all those moons ago, Otto Hightower gave Alicent the 411 on succession: When Rhaenyra takes the throne, Alicent's children will become threats to her reign, so she'll have to put them to the sword.

Meanwhile, while all this is going on, Daemon has been fathering Velaryon children too. He's wed Laena Velaryon -- we saw him chat her up at the end of episode 5 -- and the pair have two girls together. Laena is pregnant with a third child.

Early in the episode, we see Daemon and the family sharing a meal with some lord bloke. They're in Pentos, and Lord Bloke asks if Daemon and his family -- and his dragons -- will stay in Pentos. The Triarchy, who Daemon helped defeat years ago, are stirring up trouble again. If Daemon and his dragons expel them, he'll be rewarded with gold aplenty.

House of the Dragon's creators seem to have a thing for confronting birth scenes. As the episode winds down, we see Laena Targaryen giving birth to her third child with Daemon. But it's not going well, and a doctor gives Daemon the same choice Viserys got in episode 1: You can save the baby, but you'll have to sacrifice the mother.

A little earlier in the episode, we saw Larys in the King's Landing dungeons, enlisting convicted criminals on a task he needs help with. That task, it turns out, was to kill his father and brother. We see Hand of the King Strong and Harwin Strong arriving at Harrenhal and, later that night, a fire breaks out in Harwin's chambers. The dodgy chaps Larys recruited are seen at the scene of the crime.

There's a lot to take away from House of the Dragon episode 6. Possibly most significant is "Clubfoot" Larys Strong, who's now a major element in the coming Targaryen combustion. The rivalry between Rhaenyra and Alicent has until now been political: Otto Hightower was dismissed, not killed, as was Harwin Strong earlier in this episode.

Daemon Targaryen played a relatively minor role in this episode. His storyline with Laena felt rushed -- her death was confronting, and a little abrupt. But now Daemon's wife is gone, as is the father of Rhaenyra's children. That opens the two Targaryens up to potentially link up, especially now that Rhaenyra has made a home in Dragonstone.

This episode resumes the end of episode 05; Shinji is launched in Unit-01, but the Angel sensed the Eva and shot it before the removal of the restraints. Unit-01 is recovered and Shinji is rescued and hospitalized. The Angel then settles over NERV Headquarters and began to drill into the GeoFront's armor plating. NERV estimates the Angel will reach HQ within few hours, and launches dummy attacks to analyze the Angel, and the results were that the Angel attacks any hostile inside a certain range and maintain a very powerful A.T. Field, making the Angel "a flying fortress".

Newspaper Club and a Vampire (新聞部とバンパイア, Shinbunbu to Banpaia) is the sixth episode of Season One and the sixth overall episode of Rosario + Vampire. It aired on February 7, 2008 in Japan.

The episode opens at nighttime, Yōkai Academy, where a full moon lights the sky. The scene oulls over to the pool locker room, where a girl has just changed into her underwear after showering, While putting on her shirt, she notices the presence of somone by the window, but a shadow outside of it moves away before she can properly register it. The scared girl calls out if anyone is there, but gets silence. Another girl is seen putting on her pajamas and the shadow of the peeper comes into her room. She notices and looks behind her, letting out a scream of terror.

Seeing there is no other way to make Moka his girl, Gin transforms into his werewolf form. The Narrator Bat appears and explains if it wasn't obvious from all the hints given in the episode, Gin's true nature is that of a werewolf; though they normally appear the same as Humans, werewolf's normally transform during a full moon, but can change form at will. Gin lunges for Moka just as Tsukune arrives to see this. Tsukune runs over to protect Moka despite Kurumu's warning that Werewolves are S-Class just like vampires. Before he can reach Moka, Tsukune is tripped by Gin, causing Tsukune to pull off the Rosario seal and land away from her. Stomping on Tsukune, Gin gives him fair warning to stay away from Moka just as bats descend from the moon and begin Moka's transformation.

The sixth episode of the Interface series titled was published on May 1st, 2018 by 'u m a m i'. This episode continues from Interface Episode 05 and follows Henryk and Mischief in the Museum of Fine Arts in Montreal. It features the first appearance of Henryk's daughter, voiced by Christa Elliott. The voice of the museum staff is provided by Eve Sévigny.

The episode begins in the elevator leading to the higher levels of the museum. Henryk and Mischief emerge into a large room with a singular painting next to the elevator. An intercom/PA system announces that the museum will be closing shortly, casually interrupting Mischief throughout. They both inspect the painting, which is an interpretation of Salvador Dalí's 'Geopoliticus Child Watching the Birth of the New Man'. Mischief's questioning about what Henryk "left behind" induces flashbacks about his past. Notable memories include his former career as a photographer, his wife's funeral, and images of the ship's hull seen in Episode 01. Henryk's daughter speaks throughout the flashback, questioning his mortality. The episode ends with Henryk on the floor and Mischief visibly distressed.

At the beginning of the episode in the elevator there is a hidden Morse code sequence. This can be translated to "NIPS" which is a reference to a non-Interface animated short by 'u m a m i', Tinky Winky's Tubby Time.

The whole episode is expertly soundtracked by Nicholas Britell, whose rhythmic percussion simmers away during the heist's opening sections before the whole orchestra bursts into life during its explosive final stages. He's one of the finest composers working today, since his stunning Moonlight and The Big Short scores, and only goes further to cement that status with his work during the heist.
